The following information is provided by the National Weather Service.

An estimated 10 tornadoes hit portions of North Texas Wednesday evening and into the early overnight hours. Preliminary reports indicate 6 fatalities, numerous injuries and 7 people still unaccounted for.

The NWS Dallas/Fort Worth forecast office has dispatched three teams of meteorologists to perform damage surveys in the affected areas. Preliminary reports from the damage survey team in Hood County, Texas, indicate EF-4 damage found in Granbury. More details…
