The following news release has been issued by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
During a vehicle stop on 03/20/2014 at the Grizzly Bear Intersection of Hwy 64 West, Brendon Jacobsen, a Murphy, NC resident was arrested for controlled substance violations.
Jacobsen was stopped by Deputy Tony Dockery of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. During the traffic stop, items of paraphernalia were observed by Deputy Dockery, who called investigators of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in collecting and processing the evidence found during the investigation.
Jacobsen was charged with: 1 count of Possession of Methamphetamine, 4 counts of Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jacobsen is currently being held in the Cherokee county Detention center on a $10,000 secure bond and is scheduled to appear in Cherokee County District Court later this month.
