Clay County woman charged with illegal drug sale

The following news release is furnished by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.  All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 
On May 31, 2013 Investigator Coker and Deputy Mark Brantham were working undercover when they executed a buy bust on Julie Lyvers, age 41, of 39 Mill Creek Drive Hayesville NC. Earlier during the day of May 31st, 2013, Lyvers had delivered a controlled substance to a person while Deputy Brantham was working undercover. After the initial delivery, Investigator Coker and Deputy Brantham were able to execute another sale/delivery of the same controlled substance at another location. After the second transaction took place, investigators and deputies stopped the vehicle that Lyvers was driving and Lyvers was placed under arrest for Sell of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Sale/Delivery of Schedule IV Controlled Substance, and Felony Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling for a controlled substance.

The investigations of illegal drug sales are one of the top priorities of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, according to Sheriff Vic Davis. The Sheriff’s Office is working diligently to curve the sale and use of Illegal drugs in the community.
