Hayesville man arrested for Towns County burglary

The following news release has been issued by Towns County Sheriff’s Office.  All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Towns County deputies responded to a residential burglary in the vicinity of Rolling Meadows Road late Wednesday night (July 2, 2014). Deputies discovered that someone had forced entry into the residence and committed a theft there within.

During a diligent search of the surrounding area, deputies located a male subject in possession of stolen items from the residence.

Mr. Richard Howell O’Neal, of Hayesville, North Carolina, was arrested in connection with the burglary.

Mr. O’Neal is currently incarcerated at the Towns County Detention Center where he faces 1st Degree Burglary and Pedestrian Under the Influence charges.
