Heritage festival begins 11:30 a.m. on the 4th – 11 p.m. on the 5th. The Heritage Festival in Graham County will include a motorcycle show, cornhole contest, music/street dancing, and an opportunity to meet TV’s “Moonshiners.”

Fontana Village Independence Day Celebration begins July 2nd at 12 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. on the 5th. with fireworks show at 10 p.m. on the 4th.

Veteran’s Parade at 1 p.m. on the 4th.

Stecoah Valley Center Appalachian Evening featuring Town Mountain July 5th 1:30-4 p.m.

Firecracker Run at Hiawassee Valley Pool and Wellness Center at 8 a.m. July 4th.

Fourth of July Parade in downtown Murphy begins at 10:30 a.m at L&N Depot.

Horseshoe tournament begins at 10 a.m. at Pavilion 1.

Fishing tournament for kids 12 and under begins at 10 a.m. on the ball field side of Konehete Park.

Festival in the park begins at 10 a.m.

Peanut Drop begins at noon on Field 1

Murphy Art Walk 5-8 p.m. downtown

Hot air balloon rides begin at 6 p.m., weather permitting

Live music begins at 7 p.m. in Pavilion 3

Fireworks begin around 9:30 – 10 p.m.  Arrive early for a good spot.

Cherokee Cellars live music on the 4th 5-7p.m.

Nantahala Fire and Rescue is sponsoring fireworks over the lake at dark on Saturday, July 5th.

Towns County Boat Parade July 4th 10-6 pm

Fireworks at Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds 9:45 pm

Cookout and Fireworks at Brasstown Valley Resort 6:30-9:35 with fireworks show beginning at 9:30.

Make-up race for the Circuit World Memorial Day Championship with Super Late Models and a HUGE fireworks show!
