The following news release has been issued by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On February 28, 2014, at around 7:30 am, Dylan Kelby Cruse, age 19, of Marble, NC, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of paraphernalia after officers were called to his home for a medical emergency.
The call came into the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office that a family member was passed out in a car and appeared injured due to blood on his clothing. Upon officers arrival, it was determined that Cruse was asleep in the car and that the blood was a result of his attempt to inject himself with methamphetamine.
Cruse was arrested and placed in the Cherokee County Detention Facility under a $5,000.00 (secure) bond.
Investigating officers were Corporal Mitch Morgan and Sgt. Chris Swanson.
