NCDOT Names New Division 14 Engineer to Serve 10 Westernmost Counties

NCDOT LogoThe N.C. Department of Transportation announced today that Ed Green has been named the new Division 14 Engineer for the state’s 10 westernmost counties. Green most recently served as Maintenance Engineer in NCDOT’s Division 13. Effective Aug. 6, 2013, Joel Setzer is no longer serving as Division 14 Engineer. Setzer will remain with NCDOT as an Assistant Division 14 Engineer.

“This decision reflects a shift in direction as the department continues to move forward with its goals of operating more efficiently and improving customer service,” said Chief Deputy Secretary of Operations Jim Trogdon.

Green has worked for NCDOT for 29 years. Previously, in addition to serving as Division 13 Maintenance Engineer in Asheville for 10 years, he served as county engineer in Division 8 in Aberdeen and district engineer in Division 14 in Mills River. He is a 1978 graduate of N.C. State University and a registered professional engineer.
