On November 14, 2013, a motorcycle accident with injuries was reported on Lizzie Elliott Road in the Peachtree Community of Cherokee County. During the course of that accident investigation by the North Carolina Highway Patrol, it was determined that the motorcycle had just been stolen from a residence on Lizzie Elliott Road. During that investigation, Investigator Todd White was able to determine that several other people were involved in theft and was able to identify and arrest the following persons:
Kenneth Mark Sudderth, age 36, of 1302 Mission Road, Murphy, NC
Kimberly Lynn Thomas, age 41, of 1302 Mission Road, Murphy, NC
Ira Shane Allen, age 29, of 245 Cope Road, Andrews, NC
Warrants have been obtained for a fourth person, the alledged operator of the motorcycle at the time of the accident. The identity of that person, who is hospitalized, is being withheld pending his release from medical care and his arrest.
Also during the investigation it was determined that a chain saw was also taken from the same home as the motorcycle. Both the motorcycle and chainsaw have been returned to its owner.
All four suspects have been charged with Felony Larceny, Felony Conspiracy, and Injury to Personal Property.
Investigating Officers were Investigator Todd White and Keith Watkins.
