The following press release has been issued by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.  All persons of interest are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  

The following person is wanted in connection with the theft of a 2006 Saab which had been reported stolen on December 23, 2013. The car has since been recovered abandoned inside of a garage of a vacant home on Highway 64 in Murphy, thanks to a tip from a concerned citizen.

Nathan Ivan Reeves, age 29, a resident of Cherokee County, but with no permanent address, is wanted for Felony Larceny of the Saab automobile. Reeves is a white male, 6’1” tall, 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Reeves was arrested on December 3, 2013 in connection with the break- ins of three residences which occurred in late November on Morgan Hill Road, but was released after posting bond.

Anyone having information on Reeves may contact the Sheriff’s Office at 837-2589 or by calling 911 to report his whereabouts.

The investigating officer is Investigator Jake Chapman.
