Prayers for Tripp

(WLOS-TV) — A two-year-old Atlanta boy seriously injured in an accident five months ago has become the focus of a Facebook frenzy. Tripp Halstead was struck on the head by a tree branch. He’s been through more than a dozen surgeries and now he is back in the hospital.

Hundreds of thousands of strangers are pulling for him on social media. Tripp’s story went “viral” after his parents started posting Facebook updates. The Tripp Halstead Update Page is filled with photos of the 2-year-old who was outside playing when a tree branch was blown-down by winds from Superstorm Sandy. Now almost 400,000 people have “liked” his page and are following his story.
