Public Welcome at TCCC 9/11 Event

Tri-County Community College (TCCC) will hold its Annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday to honor those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks 12 years ago in New York, Washington and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

President Dr. Donna Tipton-Rogers invites the general public to attend this event and join with  TCCC faculty, staff, students on Wednesday, Sept. 11 on the lawn outside of the Harper Building at Tri-County Community College located on US 64 Alt. in the Peachtree Community.

Area public safety personnel are encouraged to not only attend the ceremony in departmental uniform, but also arrive by 8:45 that morning. The event will include a color guard, special music from The Pressley Girls, a memorial segment with moment of silence, a brief presentation on the U.S. Constitution, and a table display featuring recovered steel from the remains of the World Trade Center Twin Towers.
