Many of you have already noticed the new feature we added last night. When you visit any of the posts on WKRK’s website, you’ll now see at the bottom of each post a “Share This” strip of social media sites. We put Facebook, Twitter and Google+ at the front since they seem to be most popular among our circle of friends.
You can even “email” or “print” the post if you’d like.
Then under the “More” button, you’ll find other outlets such as Tumblr, Pinterest and several that I’m not very familiar with, but many of you use. You can share using those platforms as well.
And within the last hour, we added a “total views” to each post. This will help us see what kinds of topics folks are interested in and can help us weed out things that you’re not. Our goal is to be a useful resource without unnecessary clutter.
The better we are able to get the word out, the more effective we can be. We hope this really helps in such situations as locating missing persons and severe weather. We hope you find this to be a useful tool allowing you to easily share the information you care about with all of your friends.
Enjoy your Thursday!
