(The Graham Star) — Tatham Gap Road, which connects Robbinsville and Andrews, will be closed indefinitely by the U.S. Forest Service because of extensive damage caused by nearly 11 inches of rain during a four-day period in January.
Cheoah District Ranger Lauren Stull said the gravel road up Long Creek to Joanna Gap will remain open, but a temporary gate at the gap will close the road to Andrews. However, the road to the tower atop Joanna Bald will remain open.
