As more businesses are moving into our communities, there is a steadily increasing demand for construction work. In order to prepare individuals for these lucrative job opportunities, Tri-County Community College is offering the OSHA 10 for Construction course.
The OSHA 10 for Construction course is designed to provide students with a construction worker’s general knowledge on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. This class will be held on the Peachtree campus of Tri-County Community College August 12-14 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Topics discussed in this course will cover OSHA and 29CFR 1926 Regulations, the four common major hazards in construction, health hazards in construction sites, personal protective equipment, along with many other major safety principles important to a construction worker.
The class requires a minimum of six students and the registration cost is $66.25. There is an additional $5 certification card fee. It is important for students to register and pay for the class by 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, or it may be postponed to a later date.
