The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating a missing woman

(Smoky Mountain News) — The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating a missing woman.

Wendy Lynn Miller, 53, went missing from her home on Dellwood Road in Waynesville around midnight on Friday, April 12. She left home on foot and was last known to be hitchhiking toward Asheville.

She is described as a fair-skinned, white female with brown hair, brown eyes, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds. She has a tattoo on her left arm that reads “Rocky” and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.

She suffered a laceration to one hand and may be in need of medical attention.

Anyone having any information as to her possible whereabouts is asked to contact the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office at 828.452.6666.
