The arrests came about after officers had monitored a sale by Reeves and Garrett to a local pawn shop on January 6th, in which an antique telephone and antique medicine cabinet were sold. On January 8th, 2014, a property owner reported the break-in of a home on Boiling Springs Road and reported the antique telephone, medicine cabinet and a multitude of other antiques taken.

Investigators obtained search warrants for Reeves’ and Garrett’s home on Hanging Dog Road and a shop which Reeves uses on Old Ranger Road.
