Clay Co. Dispatch received a report at 9:05 am Saturday morning requesting that an ambulance be sent to Brasstown in reference to a female found sitting unconscious in her car at her place of employment.
Clay Co. EMS was dispatched to 10956 Old Hwy 64 W to the Village Shops located in downtown Brasstown. Upon arriving, EMS personal checked the person who was identified as Kimberly Miller Reinhardt of Marble, and found no signs of life. EMS requested that Sheriff’s deputies be sent to the location.
Deputies along with Sheriff Davis, were notified and sent to the scene. After securing the scene, the State Bureau of Investigation was notified according to Sheriff Davis. At this time, there are no signs of foul play, but Sheriff Davis felt that because of the circumstances, that, “we needed to treat this case as if there were until we can rule out all possibilities. The body has been sent for an autopsy and that should tell us what happened,” Davis said.
Sheriff Davis said that the last time the woman spoke with anyone was when the shops were closing up around 5:00 pm on Friday evening and Ms. Reinhardt and the other shopkeepers were saying their good-byes to each other.
Several witnesses have been interviewed by Sheriff’s office personnel and Davis said that the matter is still on-going and under investigation.
