WKRK is back to normal

IMG_20131001_160947_745As announced on Facebook yesterday afternoon, WKRK returned to our full 5,000 watts of power on Tuesday, Oct. 1 after a very destructive lightning storm in September.

We have had reports today from folks in Canton and Epworth, Georgia and all over the Tri-State area who are happy to have us back.  Where are you listening from?

If you’re curious to see the new transmitter, here’s a photo of it.  It had to be custom built and tested at the factory.  So it took longer than we’d hoped, but we’re excited to have it.

Thanks again to everyone for their continued support.

Feel free to share any post from the WKRK website that you feel is beneficial to your community. We encourage input from local law enforcement, government officials, emergency management officials, schools and other public service organizations. To send us information, use the form on our WKRK Info page.
