The following press release has been issued by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On January 16, 2014, Jessica Ann Pressley, age 29, of Robbinsville, NC, was arrested and charged with the Breaking and Entering of a dwelling on Pisgah Road in Andrews.
The investigation began on January 13th, when the homeowner was called by a concerned neighbor that a suspicious truck was at the home and apparently stuck. When the homeowner responded, a female, later identified as Pressley, ran from the house and jumped into a car and fled. The car was occupied by some people who Pressley had summoned to come get her after getting stuck; those persons were not charged in the crime.
Pressley was confined to the Cherokee County Detention Facility under a $2500.00 bond (secure) set by Magistrate Joshua Postell.
Investigating Officers were Investigators Harold Mashburn and Jake Chapman.
