The following press release has been issued by Clay County Sheriff's Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On the evening of September 19,2018, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fight around the intersection of Tusquittee Road and Cold Branch Road in the Tusquittee Community. Responding deputies found two subjects that had possibly been assaulted with a knife. As deputies investigated the assault, they located two subjects that were reported by witnesses as being possible suspects and were immediately taken into custody. The suspects were later identified as 44 year old Jon Nathaniel Crowe and 23 year old Whitney Ann Radford, both of Andrews. One victim was transported by EMS and the other victim was airlifted from the scene. The names of the victims have not been released at this time, but they both were from Andrews as well. Crowe was charged with 2 counts of Assault With a Deadly Weapon, 2 counts of Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon, Driving While Impaired and Driving While License Revoked. He was given a $150,000 secured bond. Radford was charged with 2 counts of Simple Assault and Common Law Robbery and given a $11,000 secured bond. This incident is still under investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
