![]() The following press release has been issued by Towns County Sheriff's Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The Towns County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a second burglary and drug suspect within a four-day time frame. On Monday, September 28th, Towns County Sheriff’s investigators arrested Bruce Partin, Jr., age 30 of Young Harris, Georgia. He was arrested and has been charged with the following offenses: 3 counts of Burglary (1st Degree) 1 count of Burglary (2nd Degree) 1 count of Theft By Receiving Stolen Property (Felony) 1 count of Theft By Deception 1 count Entering of an Auto 1 count VGCSA Possession of Marijuana less than 1 oz. 1 count Possession of Drug Related Objects 1 count Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime 1 count Possession of Firearm/Knife during the Commission of a Crime. 1 count Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun During the course of the criminal investigation, investigators located and recovered approximately $16,950 worth of stolen property. At this time, the Partin and Lowe suspects do not appear to be connected. ![]() Below are updated charges for Burglary Suspect Joshua Ryan Lowe (previous press release.) Lowe is currently being held on the following charges: 1 count VGCSA Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute 2 counts VGCSA Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance 1 count VGCSA Possession of Schedule III controlled Substance 1 count VGCSA Possession of Dangerous Drugs 1 count VGCSA Possession of Marijuana less than 1 oz. 1 count Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime Towns County Sheriff’s investigators, in conjunction with Union County Sheriff’s investigators, have identified some of the property seized at the time of the traffic stop as being stolen. Union County and Gilmer County Sheriff’s Offices have placed hold requests on Joshua Lowe for charges pending in both counties. Additional charges are likely in Towns County as well.
