"In recent weeks, Cherokee County and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office have received numerous and voluminous public records requests from media outlets regarding the May 2, 2018 incident at the Cherokee County Detention Center involving George Victor Stokes, a federal inmate; and regarding the death of Joshua Shane Long, a Cherokee County inmate, on June 12, 2018."
