Wildfire & Evacuation Information - Stay informed

11/9/2016

Picture
There's currently a lot of information to juggle right now.    We are posting Evacuation Information for our local area on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CountryGold/.  Scroll through all the most recent posts for the latest information.

There's too much information to post on our website AND social media.  Social media is much better for distributing "alert" type information rapidly enabling following to hit the "SHARE" button to alert their friends and family as well.

Check with WKRK's Facebook, your other local media outlets, the Facebook pages of your local Health Department, Sheriff's Office, Emergency Management, and Fire & Rescue offices for more details.  Don't let us be your sole source of information.   You might find fresher information on another page listed below.  We are trying our best to keep our page updated, but there's a lot of information in different places.  This is a public service on our part.   Your safety is much more important than our ratings, so you'll see some of our competitors listed.  We appreciate their good work and dedication to our community.

The more informed you can make yourself, the better.  So please take time to search for the latest updates from various sources.  Some of the maps may be hard to read.  You may find a Google maps search to be helpful locating some of the areas mentioned.   We don't really have fancy map-making software here at the radio station.

If you are an Emergency Official or County PIO (Public Information Officer) needing to get urgent information to the public, we ask that you email press releases to news@country.am.
