Thanks for your love ... from your local fire fighters

The following message was posted on the
Boteler Fire Facebook page.   They wish to let our WKRK listeners and Facebook fans know how much they truly appreciate the support from our community.  Their need has been met/well exceeded by such a loving community and they would like to suggest any new donations be made to your local fire department.   They will certainly make good use of all the donations received so far.  The firefighters are well taken care of thanks to your generosity.

I just left the Forest Service Office in Peachtree.  I, too, was amazed to see what kind of support our community is capable of ... especially in such a short time frame (less than 24 hours.)  Thank you for that.  You make us proud!  -Tim Radford, WKRK

MESSAGE FROM BOTELER FIRE FACEBOOK PAGE:

"Thanks for the Love"

Attention: We are overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of support from the local communities. The stream of offers and deliveries of food, water, coffee, and other supplies has been constant. We are so grateful. But there is currently danger of us being loved to death!! We are simply doing our jobs. The incident is taking REALLY good care of us. So, if you feel the need to show your appreciation to us for serving you, please make your donations locally to the fire departments or food pantries or disaster relief organizations who are set up to accept donations and who really need your support. Another choice is the Wildland Firefighter Foundation (a national organization that support families of fallen wildland firefighters).

And please know that we LOVE serving your communities. And, we LOVE our jobs. We are so touched by your offers and your good will.

Thanks so much for understanding. Please help us spread the word??

BELOW ARE A FEW PHOTOS OF SOME OF THE DONATIONS RECEIVED TODAY:
